Alone

Well, alone with Nutella anyway. Good lord. The amount of it that resides in my cupboard is obnoxious.

WTF. Nutella to go? GET IN MY LIFE.

Debating between horror movie marathon, or this beautiful film.
Oh it has been toooooooo long.
But I do love senseless gore.. so we'll see. Ha.

Sick of the snow yet? ;)

SNOW DAY & 5 THINGS

It's snowing snowing snowing in Springfield today. :)
It started last night with a thundersleet... yes... yes I do enjoy using that term. Ha
AND MSU actually called off school. I am truly shocked.
SOOOOO... that means SNOW DAY for all of the big kids out there!

Here are five things that have inspired me lately...

Heart skipped a beat.

Smitten with these unicorn rings.

So sweet and lovely.

The perfect breakfast.

AND hedgehog snuggle! I squealed when I saw it.. ha.

Stay cozy and warm. :)

The Unlocking and the Lift Away

Sometimes it's best to just turn and run.
Cut your losses and start somewhere new.
Even if it hurts.
It won't last forever.
Nothing ever does.

"I promise that this will be the last time you’ll see me. I won’t come back. I won’t put you through anything like this again. You can go on with your life without any more interference from me. It will be as if I’d never existed. Don’t worry. You’re human—your memory is no more than a sieve. Time heals all wounds for your kind."

Killing Yourself To Live... Again.

Revisiting an old favorite, and one of my top three favorite authors ever.
He's the only writer who can make me laugh out loud and question my life simultaneously.
Kudos, Mr. Klosterman.

"We all have the potential to fall in love a thousand times in our lifetime. It's easy. The first girl I ever loved was someone I knew in sixth grade. Her name was Missy; we talked about horses. The last girl I love will be someone I haven't even met yet, probably. They all count. But there are certain people you love who do something else; they define how you classify what love is supposed to feel like. These are the most important people in your life, and you’ll meet maybe four or five of these people over the span of 80 years. But there’s still one more tier to all this; there is always one person you love who becomes that definition. It usually happens retrospectively, but it happens eventually. This is the person who unknowingly sets the template for what you will always love about other people, even if some of these loveable qualities are self-destructive and unreasonable. The person who defines your understanding of love is not inherently different than anyone else, and they’re often just the person you happen to meet the first time you really, really, want to love someone. But that person still wins. They win, and you lose. Because for the rest of your life, they will control how you feel about everyone else."

Color Study: Feminine Pinks

Last season I was in LOVE with elegant masculine design, and bold colors.
But this season, I'm leaning towards more muted colors and feminine touches.
I love love pink, of course, but you've got to be mindful and use it carefully, as it is perceived as a mostly feminine color in the Western world. Here are some pretty pinks.. :)

Juggling Contract Design and Color and Light should be a crime. Seriously overwhelmed, and it's only week 2.
I'm already knee deep in a three story furniture store remodel and a full on color/texture study.
Life is a bit chaotic right now. Feel like I'm burning the candle at both ends.

Something wicked this way comes.

Love you,
M
