Business As Usual

Lately I've been a bit self indulgent with my blogging.
But eh, can ya blame me? This summer has kicked so much ass.
But with the fall semester approaching, it's probably a good idea to collect my thoughts and actually blog some design ideas. Duh, right? ;)

But for now, world, you must know, that my boyfriend is the sweetest.
The end.

I know I know.

Lawrence, In Photos

This weekend was the best I've had in a while. :)
And I came home with a beautiful hookah to call my own.
Lawrence is the CUTEST.

Ello Lovelies...

Did you have a good Independence day?
Mine was pretty swell. :)
I drove all the way to St. Louis with a friend to get White Castle.
Ha! Yeah. I had never had it. It's good btw.
But my car reeks of onions now.

This guy was pretty awesome.
I want a space helmet LOLZ

We chickened out on parking downtown, so we ended up just parking next to a Jimmy John's and watched the fireworks from there.

It's starting to finally feel like summer.

Long Time No Blog

So here's a little peek inside my crazy inspired head.

First of all, I am freaking out. I am 20 years old, and I am losing it!
Pretty sure I got dragged to the Eclipse midnight showing...
(Oh, it's every bit as awful as it sounds), and the highlight of the night would have to be seeing the new Deathly Hallows trailer. I was dying. The whole time. I can't wait any longer.

This past week I finally tried hookah with Miss Ashley.
It's one of my new favorite things.
I looooove blueberry and raspberry cream.

THEN, I got to looking through old pictures and found some serious gems...

Uh, haha. Avocado masks with my Kate. Gee-ross.

At Randy Bacon's Monarch Factory, right after the election.
There was this whiteboard wall where you could write something to Obama.
It's crazy how much time has passed.

A pretty tattoo that I got to watch happen.
I could watch people get tattoos all day long.
He took it like a man though.

Oh my...
(my formerly wrecked car-courtesy of the aforementioned inked man.)

A little dose of nostalgia.

Love you, M

My Advice

....to anyone who has an exam the next day,
is to stay up till 5 am, watching movies at a friend's house.
Including this one:

I love you, Danny Boyle. :)

Yeah...I'm probably going to fail this exam...
But it was worth it.

"Question 1: List the factors that spurred the Industrial Revolution"
"Errrmmm.....the spread of the rage infection?"

Oh my.

Cigarettes and Zero Air Circulation

...would normally make for a very unhappy Lindsay.
BUT, it was an incredible, INCREDIBLE show.
I wish I had pictures, but I was armed with only my polaroid cam, SOOOOO I didn't want to blind everyone in a 10 ft radius. Or piss Bazan off. I sincerely did not want to do that. :)

ALSO: everyone that I've ever met from Finland is amazing. I think I should probably live there. I hadn't the faintest clue who Rubik was, and didn't really care, but they won me over with their zany music and bubble blowing onstage. (Pretty rad. It was like a big Finnish party)

Yep, they're cute.

I missed David Bazan last time he was in Springfield. His latest album is heartbreakingly honest and brave, and makes me feel a little less alone in my own doubt. His set was incredible, especially the title track (which happens to be my favorite), and a cover song called "Flirted With You All My Life." He is probably the most down to earth musician I've ever seen. When asked what his favorite cereal is, (by someone in the crowd) he replied:

"I don't really know.
My daughter's favorite is Rice Crispies.
I don't understand that.
I don't like Rice Crispies.
And I want to make fun of her,
but that's not very cool...
to make fun of your kid...
Especially for their legitimate taste in breakfast cereal."

My favorite Bazan article is here

Oh, and Aaron Weiss is adorable.
An abundance of love for MeWithoutYou.
"Messes of Men" was incredible live.

Because It's Not Fair

Something that makes me quite sad...

And something that makes me happy. (Baby Ellen DeGeneres)

Something that makes me feel okay...

And this. Because it's not fair.
